Last week, OSHA published its new electronic recordkeeping rule, which requires employers with 100 or more employees in certain industries to submit information from the agency’s Forms 300 and 301 once per year.
The rule, effective Jan. 1, 2024, has stirred controversy across industries, and broadens the reporting reach to more industries and businesses.
Employer advocacy groups, such as construction’s Associated Builders and Contractors, have objected to the ruling on the grounds of competition and privacy issues.
