“Don’t cry over spilled drinks,” says Robin Gannon, founder of Robin Gannon Interiors in Lexington, Massachusetts, who stocks up on glassware for impromptu parties. “I’ll buy a pack of four or eight at a time and keep them in storage,” she continues. “It’s so much better to put out a tray of fun mixed-matched glasses than having to use plastic because you don’t have enough ‘good’ glasses.” Her go-to styles are green-hued highball and lowball glasses, as they look perky with cocktail limes. “Bed, Bath, and Beyond (relaunched and rebranded by Overstock) is a great source for stylish inexpensive outdoor furniture,” Davis says. “Think Acapulco chairs, mesh loungers and ceramic stools. I love using a pop of color, so I would use a colorful acapulco chair with a more neutral but textured stool. Or a standard black acapulco chair with a stool in a fun color.”

“For modern and unique lighting, I shop on Etsy,” says designer Alvin Wayne. “There’s so many options to choose from that are handmade and one of a kind. I use sconces from Sputniklights in my home and work as they fit in with modern and contemporary décor—especially in the bedroom.”

Another staple Nozawa turns to again and again is this streamlined mirror. “IKEA has some of the best quality mirrors for their price,” Nozawa says. “At nearly 6 1/2 feet tall, the Hovet is an unbeatable bargain per square foot. Its clean, minimalist frame makes the mirror versatile enough to work across different styles.”
Because of its versatility, she says “I have mounted the mirror in clients’ dining rooms and have one leaning against the hand-painted murals in my own bedroom. I also love using a series of them in a chic home gym.”
