St. Louis-based Brinkmann Constructors recently started work on a $98.7 million student housing development in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The company broke ground last month on Verve Ann Arbor, a 13-story, 350,000-square-foot student housing development near the University of Michigan’s flagship campus, in partnership with St. Louis-based developer Subtext Living. Verve Ann Arbor will include 217 units and 729 beds.
The property will feature a variety of upscale amenities, including a fitness center, terrace, coworking spaces and a rooftop pool. Washington, D.C.-based WDG Architecture designed the project.
Founded in 1984, Brinkmann is an employee-owned firm specializing in a range of work including warehouse, multifamily, retail and government projects. It recently finished two major warehouse projects in Colorado: the $43.5 million DIA Logistics Park Building 1 in Denver and Buildings 2 and 3 at the $36 million Stafford Logistics Center in Aurora, Colorado.
At the DIA Logistics Park, it completed the construction of a 628,000-square-foot industrial warehouse in partnership with Indianapolis-based Ambrose Property Group. The project is the first building completed in the park, a Class-A industrial hub configured for bulk distribution, local and regional distribution and light manufacturing and assembly. It is located near the Denver International Airport and E-470 interchange.
Brinkmann worked with Kansas City-based NorthPoint Development at the Stafford center in Aurora, Colorado, where it completed construction of two speculative industrial warehouses. The two warehouses at the 350-acre master-planned industrial park encompass 695,000 square feet in total and include parking and trailer spaces, ESFR sprinkler systems and 36-foot ceiling clearance.
