Nate Berkus recommends these discounted home essentials |

by

‘Whether you’re expecting guests or not this year, the holidays are always a good excuse to give your guest room a refresh,’ Nate says – and we’re not about to disagree. To give us a headstart, the designer reduced some homeware essentials for Black Friday – three of which he recommends as failsafe starting points.

‘Holidays are almost here, [and] you want to refresh your guest room? Here are three easy ways to do it. Why not add a velvet throw pillow? This one is in sage green. The color is really subtle; it’s a nod to the holiday, but it looks good all year round.’

He specifically recommends the Decorative Cotton Velvet Throw Pillow that’s currently reduced with a coupon via Amazon.

Secondly, he recommends picking up his Hand Towel set, which is the result of years of craft from the designer.

‘I’ve spent years perfecting these; they’re super soft, super absorbent, but they don’t feel wet, if you know what I mean,’ he comments.

‘It doesn’t feel moist, which is a very weird word, but it’s a fantastic, easy upgrade to your guest room or guest bathroom. This dark navy looks beautiful with white, even with black and pale gray, so this is an instant upgrade.’

The third upgrade is classic, involving Nate-approved luxury bedding for our guest bedroom (though, we admit, we might also grab a set for our space, too).

‘These are in white, but they come in several different colors. It’s a very crisp, cool feel; your guests will sleep well, and they’ll thank you for being so considerate,’ Nate says.

This Black Friday, Nate has also reduced some of his storage products, all of which will help us organize our home for the holidays. We’ve listed the best deals below, but they have a habit of selling out, so we need to act fast.

Fridge storage

Was $42.99 | now $34.39 at Amazon

Created by Nate Berkus, this rack holds six bottles horizontally, so we can grab, go, and get on with our day (or night, in the instance we’re using it for wine).

A Nate Berkus Slim Plastic Bin with Handles

Was $31.99| now $27.19 at Amazon

For more compact storage in narrow areas, try these slimline storage bins, which can easily nestle among cereal boxes in our kitchen.
