I live in a council house & love interior design – people can’t believe how ‘beautiful’ it looks thanks to B&M bargains

by

A SAVVY woman has been flooded with praise after revealing how she transformed her dull and basic council house into a super stylish property.

The DIY whizz named Tasha took social media users on a tour around the property showing both the before and after results – and it’s little wonder people were so impressed.

In a clip shared to TikTok (@tashasweethome), she begins: “When you live in a council house but love interior design.”

She then shows off the home when she first moved in – and it’s completely stripped back to basics, with no flooring and plain white walls.

However, creative Tasha quickly put her DIY skills and interior design knowledge into practice – and the finished result is almost unrecognisable.

While a modern grey carpet has been laid through, the stairs and hallway offer an inviting welcome to guests.

Along with two black plant-print murals hanging on the walls, there’s also a very modern mirror to give the illusion of a bigger space, and a coordinating velvet stool.

Next, Tasha moves into the super chic living room, which includes a cream rug, boucle-style sofa, warm fireplace area with built in TV, and a black wicker table tray which she snapped from B&M.

She accessorised with a pot of autumnal-coloured flowers from the bargain store, along with a pebble-effect candle and Chanel book.

A proud Tasha captioned the post: “Started from the bottom now we here.”

The post quickly went viral, racking up thousands of views and hundreds of comments from very impressed social media users.

“Beautiful!” praised one.

A second penned: “Wow it’s lovely love to do this!”

A third commented: “Lovely job!”

Meanwhile, a fourth pleaded: “Can you help me do mine pls?”

And another noted: “This is how I want my house but the kids that live here don’t wanna participate in my aesthetics.”
