SGDI wins four national awards

by

Delta’s Sarah Gallop Design Inc. (SGDI) has been presented with four Design Excellence Awards from the NKBA.

The DEA Award is bestowed by the National Kitchen and Bath Association of BC (NKBA-BC) and the winners were announced Feb. 9 at a fun ‘Year of the Dragon’ themed celebration hosted by Cosentino Canada at their stone showroom in Burnaby.

“The awards received were for three kitchens, very different from each other in style, but all exceptional expressions of the unique aesthetic tastes and functional necessities of their happy homeowners,” said a news release from SGDI. “The fourth award was for Kitchen Designer of the Year, a great honour reflecting the dedication and creativity of our Interior Design Team.”

Best Small Contemporary Kitchen was awarded to ‘Happy Place,’ a whole home renovation completed with Delta’s Finnish Builders, resulting in plans that completely revolutionized the kitchen; the homeowner’s complete faith in the design team took the space from dark and dated to something that reflects their personality and lifestyle, ushering in a light, warm, and contemporary aesthetic.

Best Large Traditional Kitchen was awarded to ‘Heart of the Matter,’ a renovation by Delta’s Spire Development Corporation for the Spectacular Transformation of a Tsawwassen Bluff home, where the kitchen not only successfully meets the client’s needs for style and functionality, but truly became the heart of the home with its seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity.

Best Aging in Place Design was awarded to ‘Universal Appeal,’ a renovation by Teragon Development Corp. that changed a section of this Delta home to create a universally accessible suite for aging parents that not only enhances family interactions across generations within the home, but also stands as a testament to the seamless fusion of style and functionality, adding immeasurable value to the family’s daily life without compromising on elegance.

“We are thrilled to receive recognition for our beautiful homes, so that the world can see our work and we can help more people achieve homes they love through great design,” added SGDI.”
