Isle of Man’s Roisin Quinn crowned Interior Design Masters champion

by

Manxie impressed judges with design of Blenheim Palace lodge

The Isle of Man’s Roisin Quinn has been crowned champion of season five of the BBC’s Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr.

Roisin was one of ten competitors who’ve been battling it out week on week, putting their design skills to the test.

In last night’s episode (Tuesday, 30 April) Roisin and fellow designer Matt were both tasked with designing a lodge on the grounds of Blenheim Palace.

Whilst both competitors’ designs impressed the judges, it was Roisin’s ability to create ‘joy’ within her space that saw her ultimately take the win.

Her use of bright colours, elaborate wallpaper and ‘scalloped’ detailing around the lodge saw the judges compliment her ‘joyous and upbeat signature style’.

As well as being crowned the season’s winner, Roisin will now have the opportunity to design a homeware collection for La Redoute.

Reacting to her win, she thanked her parents for allowing her to transform their home on the Isle of Man, where she discovered her flare for design.

You can listen back to Roisin’s interview with Manx Radio recorded before the season got underway HERE.

Last night’s finale of Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr is available now on BBC iPlayer.
