Clayco names chief information officer

by

Chicago-based Clayco announced last week that it has hired a new chief information officer, effective immediately.

Jeff Miller has more than two decades of expertise in information technology, cybersecurity and strategic leadership, and will be instrumental in driving forward the company’s IT and security initiatives, the company said in a news release.

Prior to Clayco, Miller worked as chief information officer at the Broomfield, Colorado, office of quantum computing company Quantinuum, where he managed global IT operations and developed a comprehensive security program for quantum computing. Prior to that, he was chief security officer for Advanced Connected Sustainability Technologies at Honeywell, centralizing IT and security teams for innovative and emerging technologies.

Miller also led cybersecurity and physical security as chief security officer for Honeywell Aerospsace, where he managed strategic risk management programs to safeguard information, products, employees and facilities around the world.

Miller has served in numerous roles in the U.S. armed forces, spanning engineering, technology and intelligence. A highlight of his career was serving as senior military advisor and biometrics director for the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan from 2009-2010, where he established the country’s first biometric program and directly supported counter-improvised explosive device initiatives.

Clayco will look to Miller to help safeguard its work against cyberthreats, the release said. A new report on construction challenges found that cybersecurity is the industry’s top risk, making it the biggest worry for contractors.

“Jeff’s expertise in cybersecurity will be crucial in safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the integrity and security of our best-in-class information systems,” said Bob Clark, founder and executive chairman of Clayco.
