Celebrity interior design lines you may not know about

by

These days, it is not enough to just be famed for your craft. Gone are the days of someone being simply an actor, or a singer. Now, once you are well known enough, everyone wants a piece of you. This is perhaps why so many celebrities make the jump to designing clothes, or produce lines of skincare. The interiors industry is just one of the fields which seems to be increasingly populated by celebrity creations: from cooking utensils to furniture and wallpaper. Here are the pieces you didn’t know you wanted, created by some surprising (and maybe not so surprising) stars.

Greenpan x Stanley Tucci

Following the roaring success of his food-focused autobiography Taste, hot on the heels of which came a BBC cookery show, it was only a matter of time before some sort of Stanley Tucci-branded cookware made its way into our kitchens. He has now partnered up with GreenPan on a collection which should please both the eye and the stomach. Sleek lines, matte finish and stylish colours characterise the range of aluminium and stainless steel pans, each of which is made by artisan craftspeople in Brescia, Italy. We’d expect nothing less the presenter of Searching for Italy.

SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker

Keen-eyed viewers of the Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That may have noticed one stand-out interior design statement in the series: the bright blue, very Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen-esque floral wallpaper which adorns the walls of Carrie’s apartment. It is in fact one of the papers in Sarah Jessica Parker’s recent collaboration with the wallpaper brand Wallshoppe. As well as the bright blue carnations that we see so much of in the series, her collection includes stripes, ginghams, plaids and dots.

Homecourt by Courtney Cox

We all remember Courtney Cox’s slightly neurotic homemaker character, Monica, from the popular NBC show Friends. Her obsessive cleaning habits paved the way for the likes of celebrity cleaners and organisers Mrs Hinch and Marie Kondo. It is unsurprising, therefore, that there is an appetite for Courney Cox-approved home accessories, which she sells through her brand Homecourt. These are not just cleaning products (although there is a surface cleanser), but delicious smelling candles, sprays, diffusers and soaps. The fragrances range from Cipres Mint and Rose to Mandarin Basil and Neroli Leaf, and the packaging (which is re-fillable) is understated and elegant. Very Monica.
