Downtown Books will be hosting interior designer, influencer, HGTV show host and author Lauren Liess for a First Friday Book Signing on Friday, August 2, at 6pm. Lauren is an interior designer from Great Falls, VA, whose creative spark and zest for life is contagious and inspiring. She has an interior design firm, Lauren Liess Interiors, is a blogger, HGTV host (Best House on the Block) and has written three books that capture her talent and style. Her latest book is Beach Life – the perfect match for any Outer Banks lover not only in title but in content as it features homes that Lauren and her family renovated right here on the Outer Banks.
From the Lost Cottage to Dune House and a few others in between, Lauren tells the story of finding homes left behind by time on the Northern Beaches of the Outer Banks and then documents with stunning photography the amazing transformations she brings about. This is a book to sit and savor in a hammock on the porch during a summer rainstorm… in a rocking chair with a 1:00pm glass of rose in hand (it’s 5:00 somewhere!) .. and to spend hours with dreaming and planning your next project in whatever home your heart finds itself.
Lauren will be signing copies of Beach Life and greeting fans beginning at 6pm on Friday, August 2, at Downtown Books located at 103 Sir Walter Raleigh Street, Manteo. First Friday is a fun, free family friendly event featuring live music throughout town, art show openings, book signings, trunk shows, later shop hours, restaurant specials and more in Downtown Manteo.
