Interior Design student stuns with innovative packaging design

by

Neleah Griesel, a very talented Interior Design student at Potchefstroom Academy, blew everyone away with her innovative redesign of maize meal packaging. Her incredible project ‘Pap & Play’ repurposes maize meal packaging into a fun and interactive toy, turning waste into value. By adding a needle and thread to the packaging, she inspires consumers to create something playful for children—an idea that perfectly blends creativity with sustainability.

Neleah’s project not only stood out in IPSA’s Student Gold Pack competition but also earned her the following awards: Finalist in her category and Best Targeted Consumer Insight special award. Her project has now entered the WPO Packaging Competition.
