Visiting Associate Professor Virna Abraham is a multidisciplinary designer with over 20 years of experience in the fields of architecture, interiors, and lighting design. In her practice, she focuses on transforming environments into immersive experiences by skillfully integrating lighting, materials, and architectural elements across corporate, residential, and public projects.
Virna’s expertise lies in understanding the interplay between light, materials, and architectural forms, emphasizing how lighting influences emotions and shapes atmosphere. Her commitment to creating tailored solutions ensures that each project is not only functional but also inspirational, responsible, and sustainable.
As the Principal of Kelvin Designs, Virna leads innovative design initiatives while also serving as a Visiting Associate Professor for the Interior Design program at Pratt Institute. She holds Lighting Certification from the NCQLP and is an active member of both the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES).
