The Arrowhead Home and Builders Show is buzzing with new remodeling tips and showcasing the latest home trends and new technology.
The Arrowhead Home and Builders Show is underway. The annual home event brings hundreds of vendors and the latest home trends to the Northland. This is also the longest-running home show in the region. Drawing crowds from across the area looking for new ideas to build, remodel or garden.
The Arrowhead Home and Builders Show continues to showcase the latest trends. Whether it’s home remodeling, gardening or building in the Northland. Chris Navratil is the show manager, and she said, there’s something for everyone to get excited to learn or see.
“They’re displaying, the latest technology. It’s always improving and this is where you’re going to see it for the first time,” Navratil said. “It’s a good resource for people whether they want to remodel build today or in the future if they’re looking for anything to do with their house indoors, outdoors or interior. This is really the place to come down and see all the experts under one roof.”
There are close to 350 different vendors at the Arrowhead Home and Builders Show. Devin Garrett is the owner of Valley Brook Co. in South Superior, using reclaimed wood for furniture pieces. He added that the home show is the perfect spot to come up with new ideas for future projects, as well as make new connections.
“I never took a woodworking class or anything, but I built a desk out of reclaimed wood and I really liked it,” Garrett said. “I realized that I kind of liked it. So then I just, started the business and good timing helped propel it.”
People from across the Northland and beyond also visit the home show to find new ideas for improving their homes. Paul Schmidt is visiting from the Twin Cities. He said his family loves coming to the show at the DECC to see latest inventions.
“A lot of different stuff going on. Whether you’re remodeling your house or whether you need some stuff for your kitchen. You could be a homeowner or a renter, anybody. It’s fun. I can smell the mini donuts, it’s nice. It’s a good way to spend the day.”
The show runs through Sunday with family events like K9 performers, cooking demonstrations also a chance to meet the WDIO News team.
